Boldness!

This is my motto that I stand by today... as a 3 year Breast Cancer Survivor.... I walk in Boldness ...Not in fear!

Luke 10:19

I have given you authority to trample on the heads of serpents and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy, nothing will harm you.

What inspired my blog....

Well....tonight I started a blog.
It all started with a room that stood piled with mountains of boxes for six months.
What were in the boxes you ask?
Craft items, every kind of craft project you could think of. Some finished, some started but not finished, some just there but not started. Ideas, thoughts, photos riped from magazines with plans attached and projects that were not even thought of yet...like my shabby little tutu.
But it all started with the room.... brought to life by my daugher and myself. She motivates me... my crafty daughter... an art student at ETSU.  Together we completed my art-craft room..which I call my shabby little cottage. I love old things. Antiques, vintage everything. I covered my room with all the  things that I love and have been collecting for years.
Now... finally I can get to work, doing what I love to do. Craft, art projects... and write.
I started making a tutu for a friends grandaughter and told her.. this is a shabby tutu. She asked... what in the heck is a shabby tutu? I told her it's what this tutu is until I get it finished!... Hence the name was born for my blog and the start of making my projects come to life.
Everything old is new again...I love to take lifeless pieces of furniture, and items and bring them to life again. Reborn.. like a butterfly and how Jesus makes us through his love.
I'm a Christian and I love God. I accept all and do not judge. God is love.. and he loves us all the same no matter who we are or what we believe.
Everyone and I mean everyone is welcome to my blog and I hope all will be blessed and visit again.

  1. Tammy, you are BLESSED with a wonderful daughter! Sons tend to go their way, but daughters tend to at least stay in contact with their mothers.(there are exceptions). I love the story of how you started your blog.I think some "Empty Nesters" turn rooms previously occupied by children into this kind of room; however, yours is one of the nicest I've seen. Others plan for their room when they buy or rent their homes. While others carve out a little niche where ever they can...... Love yours!
